Finding the Confidence to Go Your Own Way

A free, inspiring and practical workshop for women who are ready to make a little more space for themselves and perhaps say yes to an adventure of their own.

Have you ever thought “I’d love to do that… but…”?

This workshop is about what happens when we start challenging those “but’s”. I’ll share my own story and the experiences, doubts, barriers and confidence-building moments that shaped my journey.

We’ll explore what it really means to step outside your comfort zone, whether that means travelling solo, taking yourself out for a coffee, planning a day trip, starting something new or simply making more room for yourself in everyday life.

You don’t need to be planning a big trip. This isn’t really about travel. It’s about you. It’s about confidence, independence, self-belief and giving yourself permission to ask: “What would I do if I stopped waiting for the perfect time?”

The Workshop

What to expect

This will be a warm, supportive and judgement-free online space to pause, reflect and think about what you’d like to do next. I’ll share honest stories and practical insights from my own experiences, including some of the barriers that can hold us back from solo adventures and how we can start to overcome them. Together, we’ll explore:

Building confidence

even when you don’t feel ready.

from a solo coffee to a solo trip.

Challenging the barriers

that are created for us, or self created.

Turning

intentions into action.

Making time for yourself

as a busy woman balancing multiple commitments

Rediscovering joy

 curiosity and adventure.

From solo coffee to solo travel

You don’t have to start with a plane ticket. Sometimes confidence grows through small steps:

Solo coffee
solo weekend
solo travel
Solo coffee
Solo day trip
Solo weekend
Solo travel

We’ll look at how taking small, intentional steps can help you build the confidence to take bigger ones. There’ll be practical tips, ideas you can try and plenty of encouragement along the way.

A little time to reflect

You’ll also have the opportunity to pause and journal, with prompts such as:

You won’t be expected to have all the answers. This is about creating the space to ask better questions and perhaps leave with one small step you’re genuinely excited to take.

About the workshop

My work is grounded in more than 20 years of experience in coaching, inclusion and gender equality, creating spaces where women can have honest conversations, reflect on their experiences and explore what’s possible.

Expect real stories, practical tools, reflection, connection and encouragement with no judgement and no pressure to become a completely different person.

And sometimes, that’s where the adventure begins.

Who is this for?

This workshop is for women at any stage of life who feel ready for a little more confidence, freedom, adventure or possibility.

You might be considering travelling alone for the first time. You might have lost touch with the adventurous side of yourself. You might be navigating a change in your life, feeling stuck, or simply wondering “what next?”

Or perhaps you just fancy an hour or two to stop, breathe, reflect and think about you.

You don’t need to be an experienced traveller or have a big plan. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

Just bring yourself, an open mind and perhaps a notebook.

The Plan For Your Time

Agenda

07.00 PM – 07.15 PM

Welcome Ayo’s story and reflections.

07.15 PM – 07.45 PM

Together, we will explore why so many women can feel disconnected from themselves and the barriers that can hold us back from solo travel — from fear and confidence to safety, money and what others might think. I’ll share how I built my own confidence, from solo coffee to solo days, weekends and eventually overseas trips, along with practical tips.

07.45 PM – 08.00 PM

Journaling, reflection and next steps

We’ll finish with time to pause, reflect and think about what’s next. Through simple journaling prompts and guided reflection, you’ll explore questions like What would feel exciting? What’s holding me back? What would I do if I felt more confident? And what small step or adventure could I take in the next month? You’ll leave with a little more clarity, a practical next step and the encouragement to make it happen.
